Present your research!

We have 2 separate opportunities for Precinct researchers to share their investigations and findings. Submit your abstracts for Fast Forward and/or our Research Showcase.

Research Symposium

When: Friday 24th Oct

We encourage everyone doing research within the Precinct’s cornerstone partners St Vincent’s Sydney, the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, and Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, along with university partners including UNSW Sydney, Notre Dame and ACU, and other collaborators like the Nursing Research Institute and the Kirby Institute, to take part. We invite abstract submissions from all students, research scientists and health care professionals.

St Vincent's Precinct Collaboration Prize: Power through Partnership. This prize recognises outstanding research projects that showcase collaboration across our Precinct organisations. Prize: $300. 20 mins + Q&A.

Talks - The format is an in-person talk followed by a quick Q&A, no slide limit. Talk prizes for the best Student and EMCR oral presentations are $200. 10 mins + Q&A.

Posters - Best poster prizes for the Student and EMCR categories are $100.

Fast Forward

When: Monday 20th Oct and Thurs 23rd Oct

Back by popular demand, our Fast Forward Presentations will once again inspire and provide a snapshot of research on the campus.

This event is fast and furious with presentations from researchers from across the Precinct. Each speaker has 3 minutes to present and 1 minute for questions. The session will be moderated and a “Chair’s Choice Award” given to the best presentation on the day.

There will be opportunities to meet your peers, learn more about the amazing research going on across SVSHIP’s fantastic partners, engage in new scientific and clinical conversations, develop skills and deepen your understanding of some broader topics around research – as well as enjoy opportunities to socialise and network.

Our Precinct is on the ancestral land of the Gadigal and Bidjigal Peoples of the Eora Nation.
